Why SafeSistr Exists

SafeSistr began with something simple.. wanting to walk in the Forest.After my son was born, I would often look outside and think:
"I would love to go for a walk right now."But as a woman and now as a mother there's always a second thought:Is it safe?
Who else is around?
What's happening in that space right now?I realized something that day: women don’t just want to go out…
We want to go out knowing we’re protected.SafeSistr exists because women deserve to move through the world with clarity, not fear.Because safety shouldn’t depend on luck, timing or chance.

Know before you go – Get a sense of how an area feels based on reports and signals from other women.Feel safer on your walk – Turn on a simple safety mode when you’re out, so you feel seen and supported.Your Inner Circle – Share your walk with trusted people, not strangers, so that someone always knows where you are.Mother Mode – Extra reassurance for parents and caregivers with child tracking, nanny sharing and pram-safe areas to guide you along gentler routes.

How It Works

Check an area – Before you go somewhere, see basic safety insights and what other women are feeling about that area.Turn on SafeSistr mode – When you’re walking, toggle a simple safety mode that quietly keeps track of you.Share with your Inner Circle – If you want, share your walk with trusted friends and or family members so they can see that you have arrived and left safely.Switch on Mother Mode – Track little ones, share access with a nanny and follow pram-friendly routes so your child stays safe while you stay connected.Panic Mode - When you need help, alert your inner circle and access emergency services quickly.
